CORONA SERIES
Feel the beat
What happens when slow German polka meets the driving rhythms of Mexican folklore? It creates one of Central America's most exciting musical styles: Tex-Mex. Driving rhythms combine with catchy melodies, upright bass meets trumpet - and in the middle stands the accordion, uniting these cultures with its distinctive sound. A typical Tex-Mex, Vallenato or Norteño song is not complete without the unique sound of a Hohner accordion. The Corona series, with six different models, offers the right instrument in sound, size, design and color.
THE VERSATILE CORONA
The name may not suggest it, but the Corona II is actually a true all-rounder. It's the favorite instrument of everyone from Norteño and Tex-Mex artists like Flaco Jiménez to punk rocker Matt Hensley of Flogging Molly. Its accordion tones can even be heard on Bob Dylan's 2009 single 'Beyond Here Lies Nothing', where it creates an unusual but exciting combination of blues rock and Norteño sounds. The Corona II is the perfect accordion for both stage and studio, giving advanced and professional musicians everything they could want in an accordion.
