When tuning your guitar or other instrument, it's good to know if you're getting anything out of your efforts. Measuring sheets or "gauges", as they are called in English, are a valuable work tool - among other things to measure how high your strings are above the frets on the neck. With the measuring blades in different thicknesses, you can feel and read the distance between the strings and the neck - or other cracks and spaces on your instrument.
