The AEWC borrows its body shape from the hugely popular Exotic Wood (AEW) series, in a slightly more compact format, a comfortable body shape with a softly rounded cut-away that makes access to the highest frets easy. The guitar has a relatively full tone acoustically but is primarily intended for those who usually play amplified, in the studio, out in the PA or an acoustic amplifier. Equipped with a Fishman® S-Core (TM) pickup and Ibanez's excellent AEQ-SP1 preamp, it will deliver a nice and malleable electro-acoustic sound whatever you plug it into. A guitar that feels familiar to both an electric guitarist and a traditional acoustic player, whether you play with a pick or with your fingers.
