RG9PB-TGF (Transparent Gray Flat) 9-string. Axe Design Lab. Ibanez has been the market leader in 7-string guitars and in recent years also in 8-string guitars. Now we take it one step further and present 9-string guitars! For those who like to experiment and develop their music and do not want any ceilings or limits, then this is an awesome tool. RG9PB is part of the Ibanez Axe Design Lab series. A guitar that works for much more than low riffs, which opens up new dimensions in music. The guitar has a 5-piece Wizard-9 neck of Maple and Walnut. The neck is a 712mm/28" scale, long enough for the low notes to be firm and stable but not so long that it feels like playing bass. The body is made of Nyatoh, which is a fairly light wood with an even frequency response across the entire register. This makes it a wood that is sonically easy to color in many different directions and get many different kinds of sounds out of. The smooth frequency response also makes it very suitable for distorted sounds, it glues the sound together nicely without it being either scattered or unclear.
