In modern metal, it is more a rule than an exception to tune down guitars to access fatter, heavier and meaner riffs. On standard guitars, the scale length is a problem when tuning down, the strings tend to be like spaghetti and are difficult to get the guitar to stay in tune and the intonation goes out of tune. On the RGD series, the problem has been solved by making the scale on the neck 2,4 cm longer (673mm instead of 648mm). The difference in how stable the strings feel is great, but the difference in how it feels for the fingers to play on a longer neck is quite small, if you have large hands you probably experience it as an advantage with the longer scale. The slightly beveled body makes the guitar extremely comfortable to play on, and the heavily beveled horns provide total access to the highest bands. Neck: Wizard-7 The guitar is equipped with Ibanez Wizard neck profile, Wizard can best be described as a slightly thicker Super Wizard neck.
