RGIXL7-BKF (Black Flat) Iron Label, 7-string, 27 Long scale.
Ibanez calls the series "Iron Label - metal to the core" and that is exactly what it is about with the Iron Label series, guitars optimized for what modern metal requires from a guitar. The heaviest sounding guitars out there. That said, it is of course not the case that the guitars implode if you play anything other than metal on them, it is possible to play everything on them.
RGIXL7 is a 7-string guitar with extra long mensur, 27 , provides extra stability in the strings in the lower registers.
The neck has a Nitro Wizard profile, is made of maple and Purpleheart, with a fingerboard of Macassar ebony.
The body is made of Nyatoh and with Fusion Edge pickups from DiMarzio.
The clear top allows it to cut through thick sound carpets without becoming thin or sharp. Chords and riffs are snappy and respond quickly with great separation and melody/solo playing is attacking and clear and it is easy to distinguish all notes even in fast lines (as long as the technique does not limp of course).
Stable: Gibraltar Standard II-7
The stable is a Gibraltar Standard II, a solid and stable stable stable of classic piece. Very good transmission of string vibrations to the body for maximum sustain and tone. The entire surface of the bridge is completely smooth and there is nothing that sticks into your hand when playing or that gets in the way when playing muted riffs.
