The AF95FM is one of the models in the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist series, guitars that are fully optimized to suit jazz guitarists. Factory-finished D'Addario Jazz strings, medium-thin fretboard and traditional look, The guitar features a 3-piece Expressionist mahogany/maple set-in (glued into the body) neck, a medium-thick neck with a round, C-shaped, profile. Perfect for both solo and chord playing. The neck meets the body at 14 frets. The fingerboard is bound ebony fingerboard with traditional Acrylic block inlays and binding. The body is completely hollow (no center stock), 70mm thick at the string hole and is built of flamed maple top, sides and bottom. A construction that gives a warm and lively sound with good separation. The mics are Ibanez Super 58 Custom, a mic that combines a soft and nuanced tone with an ability to bite when needed. Works just as well for clean and traditional jazz sounds as for overdriven blues and rock sounds. The mics are connected on a 3-position toggle switch and have separate volume and tone for each mic.
