AG75G-BS (Brown Sunburst). Artcore.
Artcore is a series of extremely affordable full-hollow and semi-hollow guitars where the quality is astonishingly good. They are guitars that completely change the view of what you can expect to get for your money when you buy hollow guitars. They are guitars that are as good as a gateway to the world of jazz cans as they are to be a backup to the toy guitar, or main instrument, for the professional guitarist. A guitar you dare to take out on the road without compromising on instrument quality. They are also perfect guitars for those who primarily play solid electric guitars but who want a good, but affordable, hollow guitar in their arsenal. Easy to play, easy to handle and well-built instruments.
A guitar series that works just as well for beginners as for full-blooded professionals, and everyone in between.
In the series there are several different models with different focus, design and appearance, from pure jazz machines to rockabilly cans to blues and rock guitars. There are more lavish and luxurious models to simpler, no-frills models.
Whatever you're looking for, you'll find it here.
The AG75G is a model that is very similar to the AF75 model but has a slightly smaller and slimmer body than traditional jazz jars. It gives a sound with good articulation and a very comfortable playing feel. A well-built model where, among other things, simpler pickups are used than the more expensive models. It has a mahogany Nyatoh Artcore neck with bound walnut fingerboard and Acrylic block inlays. The body is completely hollow (no center pole) and is built of laminated linden top, sides and bottom, a durable construction with very good sound characteristics.
The mics are Ibanez Classic Elite, a dynamic, fairly weak mic that is well suited for all kinds of sounds up to a slightly overdriven level. The whole construction, the body and the mics, means that the guitar thrives best on clean to semi-distant sounds, but I have played Van Halen's "jump" on a guitar with the same setup without any problems. You can easily get a standard round jazzlead sound without it being fuzzy and unfocused or a warm complementary sound without losing tone separation. The mics have a ceramic magnet.
The mics are connected on a 3-position toggle switch and have separate volume and tone for each mic.
