JSM100-VT (Vintage Sunburst) John Scofield Signature Model. The JSM100 is a guitar that was released in 1991 and has been John's constant companion ever since. The guitar is a classic 335a classic design in the absolute top layer of guitars, ie a semi-thick semi-hollowbody body with a set-in neck and a continuous center pole. JSM100 is a guitar where nothing is left to chance and nothing has been saved anywhere, a guitar that is as good a guitar can be. The neck is a JSM set-in neck in mahogany with a Compound Radius ebony fingerboard. Compound Radius can best be described as a successful combination of the best of both worlds. The fingerboard is more arched at the low frets for easy and comfortable chord playing and then flattens out more the higher up the neck you get to be optimal for solo playing. The fret markings are pearl and abalone block inlays of traditional cut, nice and timeless. The mics are classic Ibanez Super 58, a mic that needs no presentation. The body is made of figured Anigre and lacquered in a tasteful sunburst and is really eye-catching delicious. Also the back and sides are of figured Anigre..
