GB300-VYS (Vintage Yellow Sunburst) George Benson signature model.
Ibanez George Benson models have been on the market since 1977 and can in no way be seen as anything other than classics in the jazz guitar market.
GB300 has a 3-piece set-in (glued) maple GB neck, an easy-to-play, stable neck that is restful to the hand both in chord and single note playing. The neck reaches the body at the 14th fret on the bass side and at the 19th on the treble side. The fingerboard is bound ebony, all for an optimal combination of tone, sustain and feel, with block inlays of Pearl and Abalone. The neck, which is a 24.75" (628mm) scale, is bound with 22 very well polished medium rods that have been given the Ibanez Prestige Fret Edge Treatement.
The mics are Super 58 humbuckers that are mounted in the lid. The mics each have their own tone and volume and are connected to a 3-position toggle switch.
The body is laminated spruce in the lid and maple in the bottom and sides, which makes a more stable guitar that is less sensitive to humidity and more durable. Quite simply, a guitar that is built to sound perfect and be reliable night after night for life.
