The GRG7221QA is a 7-string guitar in the Ibanez GIO series. GIO is, as always, a good build, where they stripped away as much as possible without compromising too much on quality in order to keep the price down. Specifications: * GRG7 Maple neck. * Treated New Zealand Pine fingerboard. * Jumbo band. * Quilted Maple top/Poplar (Poplar) body. * F107 fixed stall. * Infinity R-7 (H) neck pickup. * Infinity R-7 (H) bridge pickup. * Black hardware. Throat: * Scale: 648mm/25.5". * Width at band 12: 48mm. * Width at last band: 68mm. * Thickness at 1 strap: 20.5mm. * Thickness at 12 bands: 22.5mm. * Radius: 400mmR. Suitable case: W250C. Matching bag: Ibanez IGB540-BK. The pickups are connected to a 5-position switch, with common volume and tone control. The modes you can access on the switch are. 1. Stallmick in series* 2. Stall mic split** (coil towards the stable) together with split throat mic (coil towards the stable). 3. Stall mick + neck mick in series. 4. Halsmick split'' (coil towards the stable). 5. Necklace in series * Series, both coils of the mic are connected in series after each other and the mic gives as much output and power as it is designed for. If you read about the microphone on the manufacturer's website, it is this mode that is described. The mic is then hum-extinguishing and completely silent. ** Split, that the mic is split means that one of the two coils of the mic is switched off and becomes a singlecoil (only one active coil). That means you get half the output and power. It produces a softer, brighter and more open sound with a cleaner, clearer and firmer bass. A sound that suits very well clean and semi-distorted sounds (or for all intents and purposes, to open up even a hard-distorted sound.
