Blacksmith's computer-controlled winding technology gives the strings a very even winding and an even tension over the entire length of the string. The result is a string that is in tune stable, that intonates well and feels comfortable. The strings that are not wound are Sub-Zero treated, which gives a softer feel and a more uniform playing feeling across the strings. The Nano Carbon Shield coating, AOT, prevents oxidation and dirt build-up on the strings and results in a string that lasts longer than an uncoated string. The coating acts as a physical barrier on the string that protects it from external and harmful influences - without affecting the overall playing feel.
