The Dragon Skin strings are phosphor bronze strings with an octagonal core and they are coated with DR's proprietary K3 coating. The K3 coating is incredibly popular with mandolin players as it gives the strings the same clarity and articulation as uncoated strings. But with the K3 coating, they are protected against corrosion and therefore have an extra long life where they retain their fine sound. All DR strings are handcrafted by specialists at DR's factory in New Jersey, USA.
