The recipe was then passed down to the Français family, who shared the recipe with Savarez. Savarez is committed to using the same raw materials and the same manufacturing process to maintain the exceptionally high quality that genuine Colophane Bernardel resin must have. Gustave Bernardel resins are thus still handmade from natural resin from selected high-quality pines with "galipot" (the first sap in the tree).
